6-23-21 THOUGHTS

We like to know that what we believe is true don’t we?  God wanted and wants that for us.  Listen to some passages that say exactly that.  God intends that we be SURE!  
Heb 6:11-17   And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence so as to realize the full assurance of hope until the end, 12  so that you will not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises. 13  For when God made the promise to Abraham, since He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself, 14  saying, "I WILL SURELY BLESS YOU AND I WILL SURELY MULTIPLY YOU." 15  And so, having patiently waited, he obtained the promise. 16  For men swear by one greater than themselves, and with them an oath given as confirmation is an end of every dispute. 17  In the same way God, desiring even more to show to the heirs of the promise the unchangeableness of His purpose, interposed with an oath,
Rom 4:16    For this reason [it is] by faith, in order that [it may be] in accordance with grace, so that the promise will be guaranteed to all the descendants, not only to those who are of the Law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all,
John 6:69  "We have believed and have come to know that You are the Holy One of God."
John 17:8   for the words which You gave Me I have given to them; and they received [them] and truly understood that I came forth from You, and they believed that You sent Me.
Acts 13:34   "[As for the fact] that He raised Him up from the dead, no longer to return to decay, He has spoken in this way: ‘I WILL GIVE YOU THE HOLY [and] SURE [blessings] OF DAVID.’
2Tim 2:19  Nevertheless, the firm foundation of God stands, having this seal, "The Lord knows those who are His," and, "Everyone who names the name of the Lord is to abstain from wickedness."
Heb 6:14  saying, "I WILL SURELY BLESS YOU AND I WILL SURELY MULTIPLY YOU."
Heb 6:19  This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and one which enters within the veil,
Heb 7:22  so much the more also Jesus has become the guarantee of a better covenant.
2Pet 1:10  Therefore, brethren, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing you; for as long as you practice these things, you will never stumble;
2Pet 1:19   So we have the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts.
God wants us to be “CERTAIN ABOUT HIS CALLING AND CHOOSING US”!.

O God, you have taken us from darkness to light, and we thank you.  You have promised and made sure of every promise.  We wait expectantly for your last great promise, that we might behold your glory in truth forever. You are to be praised and worshiped O Lord.
